Saturday Active Yoga
April 8, May 13, June 10, 2023 10:00 - 12:00 pm - In Studio $50 per session Location: Val’s Fitness Club 5201 SW Westgate Drive Building B, Suite #200 Portland, OR 97221 One building down from Pacific NW Pilates Join Sue once a month on Saturdays for a intermediate level in-person workshop. These sessions will have a good balance of strength and flexibility, along with the more subtle practices of self-awareness, breath and meditation, and a few restorative poses at the end. It does make a difference to have eyes on you in three dimensions, in addition to the pleasure of practicing with others. I cap the attendance to 10 people, so everyone gets personal attention.
Please bring your own yoga props: mat, strap, block, blanket. I will continue to video the first 75 minutes for those who wish to practice at home online, using their regular class package. And, if you prefer to pay via check, just send me an email and I'll let you know where to send it. NOTE: Proof of vaccination status required for in-studio workshops. All in-studio workshops have a 24 hour cancellation policy. |

Somatics for Silky Shoulders & Hips: Two Practices
April 17, 2023 1:00 - 2:30 pm $45 - ONLINE WORKSHOP (includes two 45-minutes videos) This new hour and a half workshop will be broken into two 45-minute somatic exercise sessions and recorded separately.
Both sessions will focus on finding fluidity and ease through the entire torso from the pelvis to the neck. The gentle somatic pandiculations will soften the shoulders, back, and hips. There will be some arm and leg involvement too, but you’ll be surprised by how much better you feel when the torso lets go of held patterns and starts to move more easily. You don’t have to attend the workshop live to receive the videos, I will send them to everyone who signs up. They are yours to download and keep. The videos can be done back to back for a longer session or separately. |

Blending a deep awareness of movement, anatomy and physiology, Sue draws on her extensive studies in dance, yoga, Pilates and Hanna Somatics to teach from a place of open-hearted focus! Her instructions include modifications so each participant can tailor their experience to their own history and needs.
