These sessions will have a good balance of strength and flexibility, along with the more subtle practices of self-awareness, breath and meditation, and a few restorative poses at the end. It does make a difference to have eyes on you in three dimensions, in addition to the pleasure of practicing with others. I cap the attendance to 10 people, so everyone gets personal attention.
Please bring your own yoga props: mat, strap, block, blanket. I will continue to video the first 75 minutes for those who wish to practice at home online, using their regular class package. There are three ways to sign up and pay. Email me at [email protected] and pay by check or cash, or Zelle (search for Susan Brantley 503 407-9677). Or use this PayPal link. Once you get to my page, click “send,” then it asks you to log in. Once you get to the money screen, just type in the amount ending in .00 and note which month you are paying for. www.paypal.me/SueBrantley/ --photo credit: Jade Williams Unsplash |

Fascial Fitness Three-Part Workshop
Sunday, November 9, 2025 12:00-1:00 - Self-Myofascial Release Using a Tennis Ball
1:15-2:15 - Traditional Hanna Somatic Exercise 2:30-3:30 - Fascial Hydration Techniques I'm excited to announce a brand new, three part workshop designed to hydrate, loosen and re-train your fascial system. The first hour will focus on self-myofascial release techniques using a tennis ball. We will work on all the body parts, which will feel like you just had a massage (because you did!) The second hour will use traditional Hanna Somatic Exercises to affect the tissue in a different way. Slow and gentle rocking movements will down-regulate your entire system, including the nervous system and the brain. The technique unwinds the entire body in all the planes of movement. We will work on releasing and balancing the Red Light Reflex (spinal flexion), the Green Light Reflex (spinal extension) and the Trauma Reflex (side and rotational movements). The third hour will incorporate more standing and flowing movements. I will draw from techniques developed by STOTT Pilates, which use rocking movements, breathing techniques, and expansion into the tight tissues. I will also lead you through more complex somatics exercises I've developed using both the STOTT Pilates approach and Somatic movements. You can take one, two, or all three hours of this workshop. I recommend doing all three, you will find the techniques that resonate with you the most to take into your own practice. It will be a glorious afternoon of self-care! 1 hour: $50* ($53 PayPal) 2 hours: $65 ($68 PayPal) 3 hours: $80 ($84 PayPal) *Note the prices listed first are for cash or check payment. The PayPal amount is more because they assess a processing fee. There are two ways to sign up and pay. Email me at [email protected] to pay by check or cash. Or use this PayPal link. Once you get to my page, click “send,” then it asks you to log in. Once you get to the money screen, just type in the dollar amount ending with .00 and note which hour(s) you are paying for. www.paypal.me/SueBrantley/ Please bring your own yoga mat and a blanket or pillow for under your head. Bring a tennis ball for the first hour. |
